I have been busy, busy, busy. Usually this time of year, after all the shows are over, is quiet but this year I have had some opportunities come up.
The first is a solo exhibit at the Steward School in Richmond, Virginia. Twenty-nine pieces of my work will be on display and available for purchase from December 1st through January 30th. Among them will be two new pieces – “Island Pony” and “Forest Rock”. “Island Pony” is from my trip to Assateague and “Forest Rock” is from a trip to Natural Bridge. The opening reception will be December 9th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM.
The second opportunity is in a local gallery – The Muse Gallery in Louisa, Virginia. It is just up the street from me and a wonderful chance to connect with the Louisa community. Four of my pieces are already displayed with more to come soon but the official opening reception will be January 8th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.
Clif’s mom got us a new energy efficient refrigerator and dishwasher so we have been inspired to make the house more energy efficient. We replaced all our bulbs with LED bulbs and we’re (mostly Clif) putting in a new energy efficient heat pump this coming weekend. Hopefully soon we’ll be able to take a day off and go trailing.
I was honored to receive a First Place in Photography award from the Virginia Fall Foliage Festival.
