Happy New Year!
I’ve done shows in Blowing Rock, North Carolina four times now and until the last trip I never managed to get to see the actual Blowing Rock. This last time I went there as soon as I got into town and I have a new print for you – “Blowing Rock” plus debuting this year will be “Blue Ridge Tree” and “Snow Bird”. I haven’t gotten them up on the website yet but I promise they will be up by Monday (1/4/16).
Blue Ridge Tree
Did anyone else do a burning bowl ceremony? I won’t do mine until Monday because the house is full of people right now and for me it is a solitary event. One of the things going in there is not being responsible for my own happiness. Clif has taken a new job that requires driving an hour and a half to work each way. That and the fairly sucky weather lately has left him less than enthusiastic about going out with the Jeep for me to get photographs. So my goal for 2016 is to cultivate some new places to photograph that I can get to on my own. He has expressed a desire to go hiking so we’ll see how that works out.
Important note – I went to order new frames for the coming year and was greeted with the message that the frame that I have been using for years has been discontinued by the manufacturer. So if you have a grouping or a single piece that you have been planning to add to let me know as soon as you can and I will set aside one of the old ones so that your frames will match. I hope to have all new frames in the booth by mid May when I do Artisphere in South Carolina.
If you are near Louisa, Virginia please come to my opening reception at the Muse Gallery on Main Street in Louisa on January 8, 2016.
I hope good things come to you in 2016!
